Abstract
The project proposes a graduate student housing complex on an 11.42-acre site in southeast Athens, Georgia. The site was donated for design purposes by Carroll M. Thomas, Realtor, and is located near East Whitehall Road. The design responds to the growing need for student housing due to University of Georgia expansion. The site is heavily wooded with pine trees in various growth stages. It has a general slope of 15% and natural drainage toward adjacent lakes and the Oconee River. Existing utilities include water lines but no sewer lines. The goal was to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing apartment complex for graduate students.
