Abstract
Commissioned by the Clarke County Board of Education to develop a landscape plan for Whitehead Elementary School. The site spans approximately 14 acres in northwest Athens, Georgia. The design includes functional and educational outdoor spaces tailored to elementary students. The design objectives were to create distinct recreational areas for younger (grades 1–3) and older (grades 4–6) students, develop outdoor assembly and passive learning areas, incorporate school gardens for hands-on horticultural education, improve circulation, drainage, and aesthetics through strategic planting and grading.
