Abstract
In Georgia, forestry is a large, complex and multi-faceted economic engine, which contributes to the state economy on several significant and quantifiable levels. The purpose of this analysis is threefold. Firstly, though forestry in Georgia can be defined in a variety of ways, this analysis brings together various forestry-related sectors into a number of "industry groups". These groups are constructed by appropriately bridging NAICS and SIC classification systems. This analysis uses these “industry groups” to report on the current economic status of the Georgia forestry industry.
