Abstract
The University of Georgia (UGA) High-Speed Water Tunnel (HSWT) has been in op-eration since July 2017. While existing literature provided much of the information needed to design the HSWT, literature covering the operation and maintenance of such a facility is sparse. To conduct experiments in a water tunnel requires unique tools and techniques that are not always intuitive. This thesis documents the development of foundational tools, equipment, and procedures necessary for the operation and maintenance of a high-speed water tunnel, and will serve as a reference and guide to those working with similar facilities. This thesis consists of four main sections including operational safety, experimental supportdevices, instrumentation, and maintenance.
