Abstract
This study used a hermeneutic method from the intersubjective hermeneutic paradigm to account for the ways in which science, technology, engineering, art & design, and mathematics undergraduates engage normal-science and religion content presented in an expository-narrative science and religion text. Data sources included seven participants involved in twenty-one semi-structured interviews conducted via a multiple interview approach over eight weeks. Diltheys hermeneutic method of detailing a participants nave and methodic hermeneutic structured the conceptual data analysis. Inductive thematic analysis was used to analyze the participants constructed narratives to determine interpretive and understanding strategies these participants used.
