Abstract

This paper discusses the lived cultural and literacy experiences of an adolescent Mexican American girl from an undocumented immigrant family. The first article focuses on the cultural identity of this participant as exemplified by interviews and observations. The second article characterizes the dialogue of cultures and languages via her literate activities, particularly her writing. The third paper deals with the intersectionality of different factors of her identity, and how they are expressed and displayed via her literacy.
