Abstract
This study examined the role of selected family variables in predicting 587 Chinese secondary vocational students career decision-making self-efficacy. Family structure, or demographic, variables that reflected family members socioeconomic status, and process variables, especially, parental career-related behaviors, were examined. General parental psychosocial support was a significant factor in predicting career decision-making self-efficacy and explained 38.3% of the variance of career decision-making self-efficacy for this group of Chinese adolescents.
