Abstract
Suwannee bass are an obligate riverine species of black bass, characterized by their limited distribution and the scarcity of knowledge regarding the species in published literature. This study investigated the movement, habitat use, and exploitation of the species to provide fisheries managers with key information necessary to best conserve the species. Suwannee bass were found to exhibit erratic, heterogenous movement patterns, used habitat disproportionately to what is available, and the annual exploitation rate of the species was estimated to be low.
