Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive plan for the development of Clayton County Park in Jonesboro, Georgia. It emphasizes the importance of open recreational spaces in growing communities, highlights the lack of planning in earlier development stages, leading to a scarcity of such spaces, and advocates for parks to improve moral, economic, and aesthetic standards. The proposed park site includes county facilities like a work camp, maintenance barns, and a dog pound, and its goal is to develop the park informally, preserving natural vegetation and topography.
