The Development of the City Cemetery Greensboro, Georgia

This thesis presents a comprehensive landscape development plan for the expansion of Greensboro’s city cemetery and includes broader civic improvement recommendations for the town. The study encountered several problems such as: Greensboro’s existing cemetery was already full. The city acquired 6 acres of adjacent land for expansion. The goal is to create a park-like cemetery that complements the existing conventional layout. A design extension of the cemetery was requested plus short- and long-term civic improvements.
