Abstract

Teachers do an electroshock survey of fish on the Cullasaja River. Dr. Bill McLarney, Biomonitoring Program Director for the Land Trust for the Little Tennessee, identifies and explains the ecological role of several fish, and he discusses his hypothesis that an increase in stonerollers (Campostoma anomalum) may be related to climate change, deforestation, and increased fertilizer use.
