Abstract

The Lamar County Livestock and Agricultural Authority (Authority) in Barnesville, Georgia commissioned The University of Georgia’s Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development (CAED) to determine the economic feasibility of constructing and operating a multi-functional facility in Barnesville, Georgia. By constructing a multi-function complex, the city of Barnesville and Lamar County expect to host a variety of events, make the area more attractive for new industry, and provide additional civic center functions.
