Abstract

Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP) began in 2003 with the goal of quantifying the environmental benefits gained from private landowners implementing conservation practices in certain USDA Programs. Best Management Practices (BMPs) can be described as management practices and/or structural practices that are designed to reduce the amount of pollutants and erosion while increasing the quality of all life. The BMP concept deals specifically with non-point source pollution, such as runoff from agricultural fields, forest areas or urban areas.
