Abstract
The Center for Community Design and Preservation is working with the Hart County Archway Partnership to design a regional trail system that connects recreational amenities at Lake Hartwell with Hartwell's historic Downtown, neighborhoods, and schools in order to provide multi-modal connectivity, increase public health, and attract recreational tourism. The design charrette envisions how best to incorporate connective trails with the exisitng infrastructure. The charrette team explored current recreational trends and local community assets to offer a conceptual master plan that includes wide connectivity as well as enhanced trails and recreational opportunities.
