Abstract
Project outcomes heavily depend on the people, processes, and business environment involved in their development. Using the Instructional Designer Perceptions of Project Management (IDPPM) framework helps to understand how each element contributes to success or failure. The IDPPM focuses on understanding the context of a project and anticipating potential obstacles before they arise. Using Q methodology, which allows for the identification and analysis of subjectivity within a group of individuals, the study’s objective is to provide insight into how project management contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of instructional design projects and how instructional designers can improve their utilization of project management principles. In addition, potential risks of using project management, such as project delays, insufficient resources, and failure to meet the target audiences’ needs, are highlighted in the study.
