Abstract

Increasing emphasis on inclusion and effective special education, paired withincreasing the general education leaders responsibilities regarding special education,have created and increased the need for training. General education leaders must have theknowledge and skills necessary to maintain, and continually improve their specialeducation program. This study examined if participation in web based components ofcollaborative leadership training resulted in the facilitation of increased inclusivepractices by general and special education teachers and leaders. This study examinedwhat web based components of the collaborative leadership training activities wereeffective and determine if any activities were not effective. The findings of this studywill contribute to the growing body of research concerning the use and effectiveness ofthe web based components of collaborative leadership training for general and specialeducation leaders and to the improvement of Web CT courses.
