Abstract

This thesis discusses the architecture and attribution of works of antebellum architect, John Wind, in rural Thomas County within the context of the statewide and national Greek Revival movements. It concerns the evolution of Winds plans from plantation house to in-town cottage to courthouse, addressing the thematic movements evident throughout the buildings designs that make attribution possible.
