Abstract
The convergence of narrative and information technologies in Latin Americanliterature is a relatively new phenomenon. It is the intention of this thesis to outline theliterary theory behind the works examined here, elaborate a brief analysis of theconvergence where it is examined the preponderance of the narrative as a craft and thetechnology as a format, and ultimately part of the craft. Eight different writers arestudied, from several countries in South America. Every single one of them utilizestechnologies at different levels of complexity, creating different proposals. Finally, anumber of conclusions are listed, which will help enlighten the current situation of thisconvergence, posing evolving cycles at literary, technological and human levels.
