Abstract
This thesis examines the proposal of a heritage trail to celebrate the Geechee culture of Sapelo Island, Georgia. The heritage trail is proposed as a means of injecting an economic boost into the existing Geechee community, which has dwindled in number below 70. The thesis follows a methodical format: statement of problem, review of relevant literature, introduction to and analysis of the affected people and environment, statement of expected outcome, and finally, a conclusion. Images and maps are used to clarify these subjects.
