Abstract
This paper examines the application of an existing Form-Based Code (FBC) to the area known as Riverside North in the city of St. Louis. By analyzing the current conditions of the Riverside North redevelopment area in St. Louis, it presents some solutions to overcome its obstacles of zoning and abandonment. The thesis explores the various road types of the development site, which are suitable for the FBC designation. Compatible riverfront redevelopment projects are reviewed and they establish common themes that help to make the projects successful. Coupling those principals with the FBC and some economic development tools, this study provides a new plan for Riverside North.
