Introduction to a future scholarly edition of Alice's adventures in wonderland and Through the looking-glass and what Alice found there

Despite Lewis Carrolls foremost position in the childrens literature canon, a scholarly edition of his two most famous works, Alices Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, has yet to appear. This thesis introduces a projected edition of these two works, in which I examine how the publication history and Carrolls revisions influence editorial decisions.
