The purpose of this study was to provide a second iteration of the research completed in 1992 by Hill, examining differences in the work ethic of employees grouped by occupation, level of education, age, gender, and years of full-time work experience. Data was collected using the Occupational Work Ethic Inventory (OWEI). A univariate analysis of variance was used to analyze data collected. Significant differences in work ethic for factors having more than two levels were further examined using a Fishers Protected Least Significant Difference (LSD) procedure. Recommendations for further research were provided along with results and conclusions to provide employers and educators with current information about the status of the work ethic.
